1. Register and login.
- URL: tinyurl.com/bccfocus2
- Access Code: careercenter
- Click Register to create your account using your college email.
2. Find the Self-Assessment module on your dashboard and complete these in any order:
- Work Interest: Matches your interests to 1,000+ occupations.
- Personality: Explores how your character traits fit different workplaces.
- Skills: Maps your talents to career requirements.
- Values: Identifies your workplace "must-haves."
3. Analyze Your Results
- Combine Results: Scroll to the bottom of the assessment section and click "Combine Assessments." Check all four boxes to see your top career matches, like this.
- Explore Majors: Click on a career that interests you to see which Bristol Community College majors will get you there.
- Save Your Favorites: Click the "Save This Occupation" button on any profile you like. This builds your "My Saved Occupations" report for later review.

Focus 2 Overview
Focus 2 Career is a comprehensive online career planning system designed to help you navigate your career development through a series of structured modules. Below is a detailed breakdown of the features.
1. Career Planning Foundations
These assessments measure your baseline readiness and understanding of the career planning process.
- Career Planning Readiness: Gauges how much you already know about career planning and how prepared you are to make a decision.
- Academic Strengths: Evaluates your self-perception of your performance in various academic subjects.
- Am I Career Ready?: Assesses your development in "Career Readiness Competencies" (such as critical thinking, communication, and professionalism).
- Professional/Social Graces: Evaluates your awareness of etiquette and soft skills required in a professional environment.
2. Self-Assessments
These core assessments use research-based models to help you discover occupations that align with their personal attributes.
- Work Interest Assessment: Uses the Holland Code (RIASEC) model to identify your interests in Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional environments.
- Values Assessment: Identifies what is important to you in a job, such as high income, independence, or helping others.
- Skills Assessment: Maps your self-reported strengths—such as leadership, technical ability, or creative problem-solving—to compatible career paths.
- Personality Assessment: Helps you understand your personality type and how it fits into different workplace cultures and roles.
