By using our services, including College Central Network, students agree they understand and will abide by the guidelines and expectations outlined below. Please contact us should you have any questions.
- Career Services at Bristol Community College provides access to job opportunities and resources to support our students’ career development and job search goals. Please note that we are not a “placement” agency and, as such, we are not responsible for “placing” students in jobs.
- Students are expected to apply for positions according to the employer’s preference. (See “How to Apply for Jobs via CCN Portal”) Career Services does not share students’ personal information, including resumes or portfolios, with employers. It is up to the student to initiate all contact with the employer and to conduct oneself in a professional manner.
- While we take measures to vet organizations and job opportunities, it is the student’s responsibility to use due diligence in researching the integrity of the organization(s) to which they are applying. Furthermore, Career Services makes no representations or guarantees about positions it lists, and is not responsible for the safety, wages, working conditions, or other aspects of off-campus employment.
- For your privacy and protection, NEVER give your social security number to a prospective employer, provide credit card or bank account information, or perform any monetary transaction. If you are asked for this information, please notify Career Services immediately. Do not click on any links or reply.

Scheduling Interviews
If an employer contacts you to schedule an interview, return their call or email as soon as possible - within 24 hours. When calling, be ready to answer questions over the phone as many employers attempt to “screen” applicants to determine if there’s a good fit prior to scheduling a formal interview. We recommend having your resume handy and a pen and paper.
Interview No-Shows
Showing up for interviews - and showing up on-time - is critical. When students do not show up for interviews, it reflects on our office and can harm the relationships we have built with our employer partners. If you have scheduled an interview and change your mind for any reason, be sure to contact the employer at least 24 hours in advance. If you have an emergency, contact the employer immediately. Please note that we ask employers to notify us in the event of a no-show so we can follow up with the applicant. Conducting yourself as a professional is extremely important to your professional reputation.
Please contact Career Services with any questions about this policy.
